Art Changes People inspires children to think critically, care for the environment, and work together to create something magnificent!
A core teaching of our program is Sky Sight: the ability to see the whole instead of just the parts. We teach the concept through our experiential, larger-than-life art project, the Sky Sight sign, and song. Through this teaching, even very young children can grasp the importance of gaining perspective to solve our greatest problems.
Our program brings the entire school community together to create something magnificent. In the post-Covid world, socialization and teamwork are especially important to bring children up to speed after several years in isolation from each other.
Art for the Sky was described as ‘the most memorable thing I did in school’ by an original participant years later. The project is novel and astonishing enough that its teachings and impact persist long past the event itself.
